The 30-year old Florida A&M product also won a Grey Cup championship with the team in 2014.

Lawrence was given a CFL all-star and an East Division all-star for the third time in his career.

Lawrence has appeared in 69 regular-season games for the Tiger-Cats through four CFL seasons, making 86 defensive tackles, 30 special teams tackles, 15 sacks, four forced fumbles, and one interception.
